The Judicial Branch consists of a statutory Crow Tribal Court, which is a trial court of general tribal jurisdiction, a statutory Crow Juvenile Court, and a statutory Crow Appellate Court (also known as the Crow Court of Appeals). A Crow Traditional Supreme Court has been authorized by law but is not yet established. The Crow Tribal Court consists of three judges elected at-large by the Tribal General Council: a Chief Judge (who is the head of the Judicial Branch) and two Associate Judges, each of whom serve unlimited 4-year terms. The Crow Tribal Court is authorized to appoint special judges to hear cases. The Crow Appellate Court consists of an Appellate Judge (also known as the Chief Appellate Judge or Chief Justice), who is nominated by the Chief Judge (or Tribal Chairman if no nomination by the Chief Judge is made) and confirmed by the Legislature to a 4-year term, along with two Associate Appellate Judges (who can either be Crow Tribal Court Judges or licensed attorneys) appointed per case by the Chief Appellate Judge.

The Executive Branch (commonly referred to as the "tribal administration") consists of four at-large and independently elected constitutional officers: the Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary, and Vice-Secretary, who are each elected by the Tribal General Council to up to two 4-year terms. Other constitutional officers include the Tribal Comptroller, Tribal CEO, and Cabinet members (each of whom is subordinate to the four elected officers and are appointed by the Tribal Chairman). In addition, the Executive Branch contains all tribal departments, agencies, and instrumentalities established by tribal law and policy.

The Legislative Branch consists of a unicameral 18-member Legislature. There are six legislative districts on the Crow Reservation (Big Horn, Valley of the Chiefs, Mighty Few, Black Lodge, Arrow Creek, and Center Lodge) with each represented by three Senators, who serve unlimited 4-year staggered terms. Legislative districts and representation is determined by geography, not population, similar to the United States Senate. There are two constitutional officers in the Legislative Branch: the Speaker of the House and the Secretary. The Legislature holds two-week regular quarterly sessions every January, April, July, and October. In addition, special sessions may be called and there are currently 18 Legislative Committees which conduct hearings and meetings between and during sessions.
